THE High Minister says he’ll no longer stand for re-election in 2025.
Dr Rowley made the shock announcement at a files convention at the Articulate of work of the High Minister, Central Administrative Services, in Tobago.
After recounting one of the most highlights of his Forty five years in public lifestyles, Rowley said he’ll preserve the promise he made after the Folks’s National Circulation (PNM) received the August 2020 long-established election that he would no longer peer one other term rather than enterprise.
“Forty-five years is a long time.”
Rowley said sooner than the suitable lifetime of his administration ends, he’ll resign as top minister and “breeze off to my family.”
Since Rowley hinted at retiring from electoral politics five years within the past, there used to be hypothesis about who would lead the PNM.
PNM chairman Stuart Younger and occasion long-established secretary Foster Cummings were identified as seemingly successors to Rowley.
