NGOS vie for $1.5m in EPIC Digicel Basis grants

FIFTEEN non-governmental organisations (NGO) are vying for ten $150,000 grants to fund tasks addressing initiatives such as equity and sustainability all one of the most most sensible ways via Trinidad and Tobago.

For the second twelve months, the Unparalleled Projects Impacting Communities (EPIC) 2024-2025 programme is in partnership with the Digicel Basis and Shell TT.

This grant initiative was once first and main build launched in 2016. Since then, the programme has funded 150 tasks, with over 880,000 americans all one of the most most sensible ways via the country taking advantage of these tasks, mentioned a Digicel Basis media launch on October 7.

The mixed investment is $1.4 million, with Shell donating over $500,000. The grant will likely be awarded to ten of the 15 participating NGOs, plan to be announced in November.

On 11th of September, the people pitched their tasks to a judging panel of administrators from the Digicel Basis and a crew from Shell TT at Digicel’s headquarters in Port of Spain.

The shows outlined project-implementation plans, innovations, sustainability targets and budgets, the launch mentioned.

The proposed tasks tackled predominant disorders in five categories. These are renewable energy, agriculture, education, technology and environment.

Shortlisted NGOs: Adult Literacy Tutors association, Arts in Action, Cashew Gardens, Court Shamrock, Eva Basis, Gasparillo Organisation for Team Enhance, Grande Riviere Tourism Enhance Organisation, UWI’s Institute for Gender Enhance Study, Finding out to Are residing Meaningfully, Living Water Team, Rebirth Home, Ryu Dan Empowerment Basis, Trinidad and Tobago Association of Vitality Engineers, We Code Caribbean and Females Owned Media and Training Network.
